This practical course provides participants with essential knowledge and hands-on skills in automotive electrical and electronic systems. Participants will learn about sensors, actuators, ECU systems, ignition, fuel injection, starting and charging systems, as well as modern vehicle safety and electronic systems. The course also focuses on practical diagnostics using Digital Multimeter and OBD-II Scan Tools, testing electrical components, identifying faults, and applying safe workshop practices.

This course develops participants’ ability to understand, inspect, diagnose faults, and repair the electrical and electronic systems of modern vehicles. Participants will learn the fundamentals of electrical and electronic systems, sensors, actuators, and ECUs, as well as ignition, fuel injection, starting, and charging systems. The course also develops participants’ ability to use diagnostic tools and inspect electrical faults, including a Digital Multimeter, OBD-II Scan Tools, and tools for testing vehicle sensors and systems.

1. Fundamentals of Automotive Electrical and Electronic Systems

·         Introduction to the fundamentals of electrical and electronic systems.

·         Introduction to engine sensors, actuators, and ECUs.

·         Understanding the operation of major vehicle systems.

2. Fuel Injection and Ignition Systems

·         Understanding the ignition system.

·         Fuel injection system.

·         Starting and charging systems.

3. Vehicle Electronic Systems

·         Electronic transmission control.

·         Vehicle safety systems.

·         Main sensors and actuators.

4. Inspection and Diagnostics

·         Use of diagnostic tools.

·         Working with the OBD-II system.

·         Identifying common electrical and electronic faults.

5. Component Testing

·         Testing sensors.

·         Testing fuses and relays.

·         Testing the alternator, battery, and starter motor.

·         Using electrical testing equipment.

6. Safety and Practical Workshop

·         Applying safe procedures when working with electrical components.

·         Practical inspection, testing, and fault identification.
